I was born in Columbia, SC and grew-up in Greenville, SC.
The youngest of three children, my family is very close and
very supportive of each other. My wife, Jennifer, is
originally from Charleston, SC and graduated from Furman
University in Greenville, SC. She is a devoted wife and
mother to our three children. Our elder daughter, Caroline,
was born in 2001 and was followed by the birth of our
second daughter, Ellie, in 2003. Our son, Charlie, was born
on August 29th, 2006 at the Presbyterian Huntersville
Hospital. We live in the Wynfield Forest Subdivision. My
father is an environmental engineer appointed by President
Reagan to serve as Regional Administrator for the

The Lake Norman Citizen is a weekly, community newspaper focusing on the Cornelius, Davidson,
Huntersville & Mooresville, NC areas. Created Idea and Founded company in April of 2009

Team Sports Entertainment was the parent company of Team Racing Auto Circuit (TRAC). TRAC
attempted to start a new professional motorsports league. The concept was to combine the team
affinity of the NFL and MLB with the allure of NASCAR.

Datastream was the largest computer software company in America for maintenance software.
I attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC
and graduated in 1995 with a BA in Business
Economics. I was an active member of the
Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity and served
as its Vice President for Public Relations my
senior year. I was also a member of the Kappa
Sigma Social Fraternity and a member of the
Wofford College Academic Bowl Team.
My family are members of Davidson United Methodist Church in Davidson, NC.

Environmental Protection Agency (Charles R. Jeter) from 1981-1986. He had previously served at the
South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. He recently retired as Vice President
of RMT, Inc. in Greenville, SC. My mother is a RN who served on the faculty at the University of South
Carolina. She has spent the last 16 years as a volunteer for the United States Tennis Association (USTA)
and is currently Vice President of the Southern Region as well as a member of the National Rules
Committee for the USTA. She was inducted into the South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame in 2007. My
two older sisters both have families of their own. My elder sister, Leigh, is an attorney in Chicago and my
sister, Beth, is a financial planner in Spartanburg, SC. Between the two of them I have five nieces and
nephews. My wife's family is also very close and supportive. Her parents recently relocated to Davidson,
NC. Her father serves as a consultant for Carotrans International and has served on numerous
transportation and logistics committees. Her mother spent over 20 years as a social worker with the
Charleston County School System. My wife has one brother who lives in Florida with his wife and two
children.
